Blogging Carnival on Bilingualism

April's Blogging Carnival is now out.

This is the first time I have contributed an article and I am really excited to have done so.

As always, there are loads of interesting stories and perspectives to muse over. If you're interested, click here.

Hi! I actually found your blog through Tamara... haven't gotten to the Carnival yet :)
I'm really enjoying your posts! It's so encouraging to know there are other non-native speakers out there doing the best they can to give their child(ren) the gift of bilingualism. It can be such a challenge, but so worth it. I'm particularly impressed by those of you who choose to use the OPOL method. I can't bring myself to do it. Not because of the challenges of speaking German all day long (although I know that would be tough), but more because I can't imagine not sharing the English-speaking side of myself with my son. Perhaps even more so, since my husband is Dutch and doesn't have any attachment to all the great stories and songs of my English-speaking American childhood :)
Anyway, I look forward to reading more!
